Waze is useful because even if you already know your route, it alerts you to everything that's happening along the way including traffic, accidents, construction hazards, police, and more. 20. Lyft

Top Paid iOS Apps

1. Facetune

Facetune is one of the best (if we're getting technical here, according to the iTunes app charts, this app is THE best) mobile phone selfie editors. This app can an alter your photos in a mind blowing amount of ways, from whitening your teeth to completely changing your facial structure.

Pro tip: if you're cheap like me and don't want to pay $3.99 for an app, Facetune 2 is a completely free lite version.

2. Tabs & Chords

3, HotSchedules

4. Enlight

5. 7 Minute Workout Challenge

New year, new you, am I right?! It's hitting the end of January and I'm sure some of you (including myself...) are finding out that this cliche is easier said than done. 7 Minute Workout Challenge is a research-backed app makes fitness more manageable by packing high-intensity training into 7 minute intervals. And since the workouts are only 7 minutes long, I can no longer use my favorite excuse to avoid physical activity: "I just don't have enough time to workout today"

It's like your own built-in astronomy professor without any of the exams! Hold your smartphone to the sky and Sky Guide AR will automatically tell you exactly what you're looking at, whether it's a constellation, planet, satellite, or more.

An integral part of learning a language is being able to practice speaking and conversation, but that can be challenging or downright impossible if you're learning on your own. 5. Kudos

And lastly, here's my personal list of the top five iOS apps of 2017 -by me, according to me.

1. Nintendo Pocket Camp

I'll be honest here; I didn't talk to any friends or family for ~two weeks when I first downloaded this game. It consumed my entire life and I was okay with that. Nintendo's Pocket Camp is an addicting free app version of Animal Crossing, except instead of taking care of a whole village, you manage your own campsite. However, I'm not so sure if Chrissy Teigen would agree with me...

2. Instagram

3. I Love Hue

4. Postmates

5. HQ Trivia
