It’s that dreaded time of year again – tax season. But we’re here to help you finish those taxes in time! Below are a few apps and other tech tips we found that will assist you in crunching those numbers.
First, you should download the IRS2Go mobile app available in Play and App Store. Check your refund status, make a payment, find free preparation assistance locations, sign up for tips, and follow the IRS on social media all from this one app.
After organizing and compiling all your receipts, bills, and other vital paperwork, you will want to find a preparation service to help you with the filing process. The “IRS Free file” software is an invaluable tool made by the IRS. This software makes doing taxes easier.
If you want an accountant or other specialist to assist you with your paperwork, you will want to download the MyBlock app, created by H&R Block. The app has a search function to find the closest office locations, or it will direct you to file your taxes online with the H&R Block tax preparation software.
Or you can prepare and file your taxes from any location with the H&R Block Preparation app. You can just upload a picture of your W-2’s, and the app will import your information for you. The app will save where you are in filing, and you can switch smoothly between the app, your tablet, or your computer.
After you’ve submitted your tax forms to the government, you can check your refund status through the IRS2Go app, listed above, or you can click the “Where’s My Refund” button on the IRS website here.
